Creative Resilience

Stories Have Always Been Part of My Work

Stories have always been more than something we read.

Throughout my work with children and parents, I have seen how the right story can help a child understand emotions, create meaningful conversations, and strengthen the connection within a family.

Books are not simply an addition to my work—they are part of the way I help families grow, reflect, and heal.

This page brings together my writing, my professional approach to bibliotherapy, and the books I continue to recommend to families every day.

Understanding Bibliotherapy

The Healing Power of Stories

Bibliotherapy is the intentional use of literature to support emotional growth, resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful connection. The right story can help children recognize feelings before they know how to express them, reduce anxiety, build confidence, and create meaningful conversations between parents and children. Throughout my work, books are never “just stories.” They become therapeutic tools that gently help children and families better understand themselves and one another.
